Who pays us

Every site that reviews AI visibility tools has a commercial interest in which one you buy. Almost none of them tell you what it is. This is ours, in full, updated whenever it changes.

Current position

We are enrolled in no affiliate programme. We earn nothing from any tool on this site.

Not a positioning statement. Simply where we are today. We intend to join some of the programmes below, because this site has to fund itself somehow and we would rather it be commissions we declare than advertising we cannot control. The day we join one, its row changes from No to Yes, this paragraph changes with it, and an entry goes into corrections so the change is dated and permanent.

Every tool, every payout

Sorted by what they pay, highest first, so you can see exactly where the financial pull on our judgement is strongest. 5 of these cannot pay us anything at all.

we-fetched: We requested the page ourselves on the date shown and read the term off it.

vendor-page: Taken from the vendor's own affiliate or pricing page during our research, but not re-fetched by us at publication.

third-party: Reported by an aggregator or review site, contradicted or unconfirmed by the vendor's own page. Treat as unverified.

not-published: The vendor does not publish this. That absence is itself the finding.

The rules we hold ourselves to

  1. A commission never changes an ordering. Nightwatch pays the most of anything here, at 30% for the lifetime of a customer. Ahrefs, Screaming Frog and Clearscope can pay us nothing, ever. If our recommendations tracked our revenue, you would be able to tell from this table. Check it against anything we publish.
  2. Every affiliate link is marked in the text, at the link. Not once in a banner at the top of the page. At the link, every time.
  3. We publish the terms, not just the fact. "This post contains affiliate links" tells you nothing. A 30% lifetime commission on a 365-day cookie tells you exactly how much we stand to gain.
  4. We name what we cannot earn from. The tools with no affiliate programme are the ones a commission-funded site has every reason to ignore. They get their own rows.
  5. No display advertising, ever. Not a rule about taste. An ad network chooses what appears next to our grading, and we will not hand that choice away.
  6. No sponsored placements, no paid reviews, no "featured tool" slots. If a vendor pays for position on this page, the page is worthless.

Why publish this at all

Because the alternative is what the field already has. Search for the best AI visibility tools and nearly every result is published by a company that sells one. Profound ranks Profound. Frase ranks Frase. Evertune ranks Evertune. None of that is against the rules, and none of it is disclosed in a way that lets you weigh it.

We are not claiming to be free of the conflict. We are claiming to publish it, in the same table as the recommendation, so you can price it in. That is the whole product.
