Peec AI alternatives, with the one fact every other list leaves out

Peec AI cannot pay this site a penny. We checked peec.ai/affiliate ourselves on 2026-07-14 and it returns a 404. There is no referral link anywhere in this article, for Peec or for anything it competes with, because we are not enrolled in any affiliate programme today. That is what makes the ordering below worth reading: nothing here can move for money.

What Peec AI is

Peec AI is an AI visibility tracker covering ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode. It reports on three things: whether a brand appears in an answer ("visibility"), where it appears relative to competitors ("position"), and how it is framed ("sentiment"). It separately surfaces "key sources", the domains an engine cited to build the answer. That is both measurement types in one product, and the two are not the same quantity: see the note below.

Entry price
from about €89/mo, per third-party review sites
On peec.ai itself
We fetched peec.ai/pricing ourselves on 2026-07-14. It names four tiers, Starter, Pro, Advanced and Enterprise, and states none of their prices. Peec does not publish a price ladder on its own site as of this check.
Affiliate programme
None found. peec.ai/affiliate returns 404 (re-checked 2026-07-14). We also checked its Partnerships pages for agencies, creators and media; none describe a commission.

The real alternatives

Ordered by verified entry price, lowest first. That is the whole ordering rule, stated so you can check it: not by what pays us, since nothing here does today, and not by which one we like. A tool with no verifiable published price sits last regardless of what it might cost, because we will not rank on a number we cannot check.

Peec AI and its alternatives, verified pricing, measurement and what each pays this site
Tool Entry price Measures Pays us Enrolled?
Peec AI from about €89/mo (third-party; no price on peec.ai itself) Brand mentions, position and sentiment; separately lists cited source domains NOTHING (no programme exists) No
Otterly.ai $29/mo entry tier Brand mentions across AI engines; separately tracks which links are referenced 20%, recurring, first 12 months only (programme exists; we are not enrolled) No
Rankscale from ~$20/mo Brand mentions and share of voice; connects source URLs to visibility gaps 10%, recurring, capped at 12 months (programme exists; we are not enrolled) No
Nightwatch published on site Brand mentions ("AI Visibility Score") and cited sources ("Active Citations"), plus share of voice 30%, lifetime recurring (programme exists; we are not enrolled, and it would be our best-paying option if we joined one) No

Full terms, cookie windows and provenance for every row: who pays us. Rankscale note: a third-party site claims 15% lifetime; the vendor's own affiliate page states 10% for up to 12 months. We publish the vendor's own figure.

Brand mentions and citations are not the same measurement

All four tools above report a "visibility" number, and all four also surface a list of cited domains. Those are two different things, and every one of these products blends them into a single dashboard without always labelling which is which.

A brand mention is the model saying your name in the text of an answer. A citation is a source link the model used to build that answer. Semrush's Ghost Citations study, run across 3,981 domain appearances on ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, found that 61.7% of the time a page was cited as a source, the brand name never appeared in the answer text. A tool that only counts mentions misses the majority of your actual citation footprint. A tool that only counts citations will show you sources that never translate into anyone hearing your name.

There is a second reason to treat any single "visibility score" with suspicion: it rarely holds still. SparkToro and Gumshoe.ai ran 2,961 prompts across ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Overviews and found under a 1-in-100 chance of the same brand list appearing twice for the identical prompt. A tracker sampling a handful of prompts on a schedule is measuring a number that moves for reasons that have nothing to do with your marketing. Full grading and sourcing: the evidence ledger.

Why Peec cannot pay us

We looked for a programme three ways: the vendor's dedicated affiliate path, its partnerships pages for agencies, creators and media, and a general search for any mention of a commission or referral scheme. None exist as of 2026-07-14. That is not a criticism of Peec. It means an article ranking Peec against its competitors can be written with nothing riding on where Peec lands, which is rarer in this niche than it should be.
